What I did:
Overseeing the Entire Process from Research to Design, collaborating with teams in Denmark and China to communicate and walkthrough designs with internal and external stakeholder.
Design challenge:
China faces significant water challenges, including heavy flooding, sewage overflow, droughts, and water shortages. Currently, there is no effective system in place, and basic methods like flood barriers are insufficient. We need a proactive solution that addresses these environmental issues and allows engineers to manage them remotely with efficient pump strategies. Flood levels and Inventory tracking are done using spreadsheets. There is a large amount of complex raw data that needs to be processed easily.
I designed complex dashboards that quickly predict flooding and simulate the Black River, offering advice on pump control strategies to minimise flood risk. Engineers can now simulate flood scenarios for informed decision-making and remotely monitor and control flood management infrastructure for rapid response during events.

Outcome:
Achieved an impressive 92% accuracy in predicting urban flooding areas.
Reduced emergency response times and minimised flood damage.
Enabled emergency response units to handle events remotely
Reduced the resource for rescue and relief operations
Through our black river simulation, we successfully reduced pollutant levels by 30% in targeted areas
Our pre-alert strategies led to a 20% decrease in combined sewage overflow incidents.
